In line with our theme, “The Weak [NOT] Suffer What They Must, The Strong Do What They Can”, the 5th biannual meeting of ICON-IR provides a discussion platform responding to the challenge where the world is shaped by great power rivalry, unilateralism, and the weakening of multilateral institutions.
ICONIR brings the spirit of the Bandung Conference, which calls for the community of states to step up, ensuring the lesser powers are not merely passive victims but potential agents of change capable of advancing cooperation, diplomatic innovation, and renewed multilateralism.
The conference also hopes to bring together established and emerging academics, as well as representatives from governments, international organizations, and civil society in Asia and beyond, to devise strategies of relevance built on collectivism.
