The ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Singapore, is organising a seminar titled “Anchoring Cooperation in Uncertain Times: ASEAN and Korea as Comprehensive Strategic Partners.” The event will take place on August 7, 2025, from 09:30 AM to 02:00 PM (SG Time) at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, Seminar Room 1 & 2, as well as online via webinar.
This seminar will explore how ASEAN and the Republic of Korea can strengthen and future-proof relations under the newly elevated Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP). The discussion will particularly focus on actionable cooperation in the areas of climate and energy resilience, economic connectivity, and societal engagement.
The seminar features distinguished speakers, including Ha Daegoog (Diego), Hoo Chiew Ping, Pongphisoot Busbarat, Christopher Len, Jieun Choi, and Dr. Ratih Indraswari (Parahyangan Catholic University). Joanne Lin and Kristina Fong will moderate the sessions.
Designed as a platform for high-level dialogue, this academic forum aims to foster mutual understanding, promote regional cooperation, and offer strategic insights into how ASEAN and Korea can navigate an era of geopolitical uncertainty while advancing shared prosperity and resilience.
